Budapest dental clinics cluster around Üllői út, Andrássy út. Major clinics: Helvetic Clinics, Kreativ Dental, MyDentist. Single implant + crown €1,200–2,000 (vs €3,500–5,000 UK). Veneers €350–600 each (vs £800–1,500 UK). 7–10 day visit for implant + initial crown; second visit 4–6 months later for permanent restoration.
Krakow
Poland alternative. Lower prices than Budapest; quality reputable. KCM Clinic, Cosmedica. Add 10% travel cost since direct flights from Western Europe more limited than Budapest's busy airport.
Warsaw
Polish capital. Same price level as Krakow; broader specialty options (orthognathic surgery, complex bone grafts). Major clinics: Indexmedica, Smile Clinic Warsaw.
Istanbul
Istanbul aggressive marketing for cosmetic dentistry — full sets of veneers (€2,500–6,000 vs €15,000+ UK). Quality varies enormously; vet clinic carefully. Avoid cheap "package deal" clinics that skip diagnostic CBCT scans.
Sofia (Bulgaria)
Sofia emerging dental tourism. Even cheaper than Budapest. Smaller specialist pool but increasing tourism investment.
Lisbon and Porto (Portugal)
Lisbon mid-tier prices (between Western European and Eastern European), excellent quality, English fluency. Increasingly common destination for British and German dental tourists.
Strategy
Get diagnosis from home dentist before traveling — rule out emergencies. Bring all dental records, X-rays. Vet clinic credentials (EU dental license verifiable). Check insurance: most travel insurance covers complications but not initial cosmetic procedures. Quality crowns/implants last 15+ years; choose for quality, not lowest price.
