Glastonbury (UK)
Late June, near Pilton. 200,000+ attendees. Tickets sell out in 30 minutes; advance booking opens 6+ months ahead. £350+ for 5-day pass. Camping mandatory. The world's most famous rock festival; also has theatre, comedy, dance stages.
Roskilde (Denmark)
Late June–early July, 35km from Copenhagen. 130,000+ attendees. €280 for 8-day pass (warm-up + main). Non-profit, community-run. Lineup spans rock, pop, electronic. Camping mandatory. Day-trip from Copenhagen impossible (camping-only).
Sziget (Hungary)
Budapest Sziget Festival (mid-August) — destination festival on Óbudai island in the Danube. Day pass €70–120. 7-day pass €280–420. Hostels and Airbnb in Budapest 2x normal rates festival week.
Primavera Sound (Spain)
Barcelona Primavera Sound (late May–early June). 200,000+ over 3+ days. Curated indie/alt-rock lineup. Day pass €100–180. Plus Porto sister festival same week.
Lollapalooza Berlin
Berlin Lollapalooza (early September). 2-day, 80,000+. €130–180 day pass. Same brand as US festival, similar lineups.
Hurricane (Germany)
Scheeßel, Lower Saxony (last weekend June). 70,000+ attendees. €270 for 3-day camping pass. Hard rock + alternative.
Pukkelpop (Belgium)
Hasselt (mid-August). 200,000+ attendees over 4 days. €260+ pass. Rock, hip-hop, electronic mix.
Reading + Leeds (UK)
Late August UK weekender. 90,000+ attendees Reading. £270+ pass. Younger UK rock/pop audience.
Strategy
